How Does He Do It?

No, seriously. I subscribed to TdashDUB for two reasons. One, his videos are clearly the funniest i've seen. Two, his editing skills are insane. I'm not sure how many of you appreciate this, but i take media studies, and daaamnn... his videos are really well done. His cutting and everything is really nice, as well as the actual quality of the image.

What i want to know is, what kind of camera do you use? What editing software, and how do you compress it? Me and asianxarab tried for like, 2 hours and it came out like crap.

well, I'ma perfectionist..hardcore
but I use a panasonic PV-GS180 with 3CCD which is prob THE best camera for quality you can get for anything under $500 and I edit with Adobe Premiere PRo 2.0 which is INSANE and I probably know how to work 13% of it, so I always look forward to playing around with it and seeing what new stuff I can discover...and I havent even touched Adobe after affects which is suppose to be where the REAL crazy editting stuff is!

Hmmm... for our video, we were using a photography camera, so the LCD display was really bad, not to mention the video quality

I also use Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, but i know about 5% of it (I'm used to Premeire 6.5)

I was trying to get used to it, by playing around and stuff

My friend really wanted to know how you split the screen and had like 2 videos playing one on top of the other, it's really quite cool

My question is, how do you compress it? We tried it like 7 times, and the one on YouTube was the best result.

Is it the camera, or the compressing? I'm going to buy a video camera for $300 soon, so that might help

ahh yes, compressing lol

I save the movie as a file in premiere
then I open it in windows movie maker, and re-save it there
..it'll automatically save it as mpeg - compressing it
and if it happens to still be over 100mb then you can do the same process, but tell it that the size has to be under 100...of course this may cause the video to loose some quality -- but it's the only way I know

Oh ok thanks, i'll try it that way. I got some of my friends to come over, and they managed to compress it before i even load it into premiere, so that i can double compress with minimal loss in quality... hopefully.

Anywho, i'll try it out later, and it should work hopefully
